Adrianna is a freelance dancer and choreographer that has been showcasing her work in Philadelphia, PA since January 2015. Her choreography spans various genres, including jazz, modern and hip-hop, and oftentimes, a fusion of all three to create unique movement that is intriguing to watch. She earned a BA in Dance Performance, with a Theatre Performance minor from Stockton University. Some of her dance credits include PROHIBITION at Ocean Casino, BORGATA HOLIDAY SHOW at Borgata Casino, and dancing as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers Dance Team. She also took part in the 2016 and 2018 Philly Fringe Festivals, choreographing and producing ONCE MORE, WITH FEELING, and co-choreographing and co-producing CHURCH + STATE, respectively.
Adrianna is the creator, choreographer and producer for HOT DAMN!, a cabaret style dance show in Philadelphia that features a troupe of beautiful dancers. Adrianna’s mission is to create works that entertain, inspire and move audiences and dancers alike.
Angela Cusumano started dancing at the age of 5 in Brooklyn, New York. With hip-hop being her forte’, she has studied under some of the biggest choreographers in the industry. She has toured as a dancer Nationally and Internationally for Subliminal Records’ artist, “Who Da Funk” for their #1 radio club hit, “Shiny Disco Balls.” She has performed for numerous years as a principal dancer at Six Flags Great Adventure during their summer and Frightfest seasons. Angela was a member of the “alternative jazz” dance company, “Push Factor Dance Company“ (Astoria, Queens) as well as the hip-hop dance crew, “Iconic” (Englishtown, NJ). She has served as the hip-hop instructor for Push Factor’s National Dance Convention, “DanzJam” and currently guest teachers in numerous studios and conventions throughout the East Coast. She was a featured dancer in the Bollywood film “Chinna Cinema” and also appeared on Season 1 of “Live To Dance,” aired on CBS, hosted by Paula Abdul. Other professional performing credits include corporate events as a Britney Spears impersonator, Tubway’s “In Living Color’s Fly Girl Tribute,” KTU’s Beatstock Concert (Jones Beach), and the “Fashionably Yours” Fashion Show.
Angela has served for years as a faculty member of American Repertory Ballet’s Dancepower & Dancepower II programs, founded by Gregory Hines. Choreography credits include performances at University of Delaware, Kean University and Rider University, R&B group, “Love Jones Girlz” (Urban Melodic Entertainment), and pop artist, Veronica Kole (Team Snooki Music). Her work on the musical theater production of “Altar Boyz” at Villagers Theater in 2017 won her the “Outstanding Choreography“ award at the NJact Perry Awards. Up next, she is slated to choreograph a production of “In The Heights” for Light Opera of New Jersey, opening at SOPAC in July of 2021.
Teacher and Choreographer, Fernando Naranjo, has extensive experience teaching classes and workshops at numerous schools and studios in the DMV area. His broad, rich and varied dance training affords him expertise as an instructor in Contemporary, Jazz, And Latin Dance Choreography credits include setting pieces on a variety of studios and schools to “1-800-799-SAFE”, “An Evening I Will Not Forget”, “The Tornado”, “Surfin”, “Get Back Home” and “Unsteady” as well as creating a tribute to Celia Cruz.
A well rounded dancer, Fernando's performing credits include company membership in The Showbiz Dancers, performing on the stage of The Kennedy Center as well as a wide variety of other venues. He has worked with and trained under such dance luminaries as Shawn Cosby, Derrick Evans, Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, and Hinton Battle.
Jake received his BFA in Commercial Dance from Pace University. Favorite performance credits include: “Nickelodeon Live!” on Norwegian CruiseLines, Fender in “Hairspray” at the Palace Theater, and Larry in “A Chorus Line” at Pace University. He now mainly teaches at Center of Dance Arts in Marlboro, but also loves to teach master classes all over NJ/ NYC! He specializes in Contemporary, Jazz, and Musical Theater styles. His students placed 1st place at Backstage Dance Competition Nationals 2018 for their performance of his contemporary choreography. Jake also won the National Dance Showcase 2019 regional award for contemporary choreography. He’s looking forward to dancing with you soon!
Jeffry is an actor, singer and tap dancer, and has been performing for over 20 years. Jeffry has trained in the art of tap with Deborah Mitchell, Karen Calloway Williams, Omar Edwards, and many others. Some of his past credits include "Riffin & Tappin", "Dance Bojangles Dance", "42nd Street", "Shades Of Harlem", and recently New York City Center Encores “Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope" directed and choreographed by Savion Glover. He also occasionally performs as Sammy Davis Jr in The Rat Pack Together Again which performs all over the east coast.
Jeffry also teaches tap in the tri state area and is a member and a principle dancer of the New Jersey Tap Dance Ensemble under the direction of Deborah Mitchell.
Kelly is a NYC based dancer, singer, and actress born and raised in NJ. She performed as a Rockette in the 2014 Radio City Christmas Spectacular on tour. She was a swing and dance captain in the Bullets Over Broadway 1st national tour. She has performed in various regional theatres including Paper Mill Playhouse, Tuacahn Center for the Arts, and Ogunquit Playhouse. Kelly studied at Pace School of Performing Arts in NYC and received a BFA in Commercial Dance. A proud dance educator, Kelly is excited to share her knowledge, experience, and passion for dance and theatre with young dancers.
Matt is a Professional Ballroom dancer who has performed, instructed and competed nationally in the American Rhythm style of ballroom dance. Throughout his professional dance career, Matt has been a finalist in many competitions. He has danced in numerous live shows, and has trained with well-known choreographers: Anna Trebunskaya, Carolina Orlovsky, Corky Ballas and Jonathan Roberts. Choreography by Matt has been featured at institutions such as You Can Dance Studio in Hermosa Beach, California, and he has been guest artists at many other institutions and studios including the prestigious Orange County School of the Arts in Irvine, California.
With Hip Shake Fitness, Matt started with the company from the first the day bringing his LA Latin: Fun & Fitness class to the online company. A class that is specifically geared to get the dancer’s heart pumping both from an aerobic workout and fun itself It is such a pleasure to help people achieve their dance and fitness goals! Matt also works as an actor having performed in several musicals in regional houses both on the east and west coasts.
Rohit is a professional choreographer and dancer based in the United States. With over twenty years of experience in the field, Rohit has performed on a variety of international platforms. His grace and versatility have made him a sought-after performer, with a charisma and energetic stage presence that has mesmerized audiences and critics alike.
As a disciple of renowned Kathak dancer, Guru Archana Joglekar, Rohit has developed both strength and grace which form the foundation of the classical Indian dance form. Rohit combines this classical background with his traditional Indian folk dance experience, while adding influences from modern western choreography to produce a unique style of choreography all his own.
Felicia, grew up as a competitive dancer for over two decades and has trained at studios including Broadway Dance Center, STEPS on Broadway, and Alvin Ailey, She received scholarships to attend University of the Arts (Philadelphia), Rutgers University, and Point Park University.
Felicia was a member of the nationally ranked Rutgers University dance team for three years. She has modeled for Dance Spirit magazine, Bodywrappers, and the Dance Teacher Summit fashion show. She appeared on TV shows including The Apprentice, The Rachel Ray Show, Aeropostle commercial, American Gladiator, and many nationally televised news specials.
In 2008, Felicia appeared on MTV’s Season 2 of America’s Best Dance Crew. Following she became a member of the NJ Ironmen and New Jersey Devil Dance Team and was part of the New Jersey Devils Dancers for six years. In 2013, Felicia appeared in the Kelly Clarkson, “Stronger” music video. She also has trained with many choreographers such as, Geo Hubela, Dave Scott, Shelia Barker, Talia Favia, Sonya Tayeh, and Tabitha & Napoleon.
Felicia can also be found backstage or judging for High Demand dance competition and Break The Floor productions.
A graduate of the Ailey School in New York City and a Stage Directors and Choreographers Associate Member. Andrea's specialties include in ballet, Lester Horton modern technique, Theatre dance, audition technique as well as injury prevention and Anatomy programs.
Teaching credits include Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, Marymount Manhattan College, Pace University, Rutgers University, Montclair State University as well as many dance centers and festivals throughout the East Coast. Performing credits include "Hercules on Broadway" at the New Amsterdam theater, Radio City Music Hall, regional theater, nutcrackers playing the role of Arabian is a guest Artist as well as movie and print work experience.
Andrea Mychaels has been immersed in theatre and dance as an educator, choreographer, filmmaker and performer for more than 25 years. As a choreographer, she worked with Shawn T. (Hip-Hop Abs/Insanity), International Award winning Neo-Burlesque Troop "The Peek-A-Boo Revue" (America's Got Talent, season 5), the New Jersey Nets Dance Team and was the Director for the Philadelphia Soul (AFL) Dance Team in 2011.
As a vocalist, Andrea has worked with such musical artists as Kathy Sledge, Taylor Dayne, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes and The Trammps. She is the recipient of three “Outstanding Choreography” awards for her work at various East Coast Regional Theatres and ICCA, and was a finalist in the Jazz Dance World Congress International Choreography Competition.
She earned her MFA in Dance at Texas Woman’s University where she was awarded an academic scholarship and Graduate Teaching Assistantship, her Ed.M. in Dance Education at Rutgers University and B.A. in Dance at Stockton University where she was an Adjunct Professor in the Dance Department, teaching Jazz, Tap, Modern and Ballet as well as directing and choreographing for Dance and Theater Department Productions.
In October 2012, Mychaels founded her dance company the Andrea Mychaels Dance Project (AMDP), which continues to be successful in providing performance opportunities for dancers and creating an entry point into the art of dance for a diverse population of youth through the company’s Educational and Community Outreach programming. Amanda Papa is a dancer, choreographer, and dance educator with more than 20 years experience. She began dancing at the age of 3, competing at age 8, and dancing professionally at 16. She was twice named an All-Star by the Universal Dance Association as a teenager, where she first performed internationally. Amanda received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Montclair State University.
As an original company member, soloist and dance captain of The Dawn Lau Dance Company, Amanda performed throughout New York and New Jersey. She spent time studying, creating and performing her art in Italy, where she truly found her passion for and refined her skills as a choreographer. Since then Amanda’s achievements include the creation of more than 600 original pieces and she's been certified through Dance Educators of America and is a proud member of Dance NJ and NDEO. Her choreography has been recognized by Paper Mill’s Rising Star Awards. Some of Amanda's favorite choreographic credits include: "Thoroughly Modern Millie," "Rent," "Oklahoma!," "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," "The Drowsy Chaperone," "High School Musical" and "Camp Rock."
In 2012, Amanda fulfilled her lifelong dream of owning her own dance company, co-founding Solo Danza, where she is currently the artistic director. In addition, Amanda is teaching all genres of dance at several studios and Universities through out NJ. This past year she has expanded her love for dance into The Ballroom world, where she is currently training as a competitor in Smooth Ballroom Dance.
AJ has 10 years of experience teaching dance, and is widely known for his compassionate and energetic teaching style, visually stimulating choreography, and anatomically precise technique. He takes his deep knowledge in the healing arts - (being a currently working Reiki Master, a full-time Master's Degree student of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and having previously worked as a licensed Massage Therapist) - and dance to create classes that help dancers bring finesse to their technique, voice to their inner creative spirit, and calm self-awareness to their physical, emotional, and mental faculties.
AJ has taught classes and workshops for students and teachers alike all over the Tri-State area, for dancers of all skill levels ages 5-70. He received his BFA in Dance from Montclair State University and has extensive experience in yoga, acrobatics and contortion. Mariah Pizzo has been choreographing competitive work and creating for local theatre programs for over 12 years. She is a part of Truman High School's Theatre Alumni and is their lead choreographer. Musical accolades include: “Kinky Boots” (HS Pilot) Disney’s “Freaky Friday” (HS Premier) , “Honeymoon in Vegas” (HS Pilot) and Fosse’s “Chicago”. Mariah also teaches and choreographs for the Bristol Township Musical Mentorship Program every year from July to August. This summer program shares the love of Hip Hop with all students. Classes are based around learning rhythm, grooves & social dances. It is an outlet of creativity, musical expression (in the form of bucket drumming) & a genuine love of dance for beginner and advanced students alike. Attendees range in age from eight to high school seniors.
Mariah began taking ballet classes at the age of three and went on to explore and study many other styles of dance which has made her a well-rounded educator. She trained competitively for fifteen years collecting many scholarships and experiences along the way. Scholarships include Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, & The Rock School of Ballet. Mariah continues her dance education by taking classes in the Philadelphia and New York City area regularly.
Mariah loves to share her knowledge and passion for dance with dancers of all ages. Mariah loves to teach Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Musical Theater, Hip Hop, technique, and conditioning classes.
